Nop60B is the catalytic subunit of an H/ACA ribonucleoprotein (RNP) that forms a complex with three auxiliary proteins (Gar1, NHP2, and Nop10) and a snoRNA that acts as a scaffold. Catalyzes pseudouridylation of 28S rRNA at positions U2442, U2444, U2499, and 18S rRNA, at positions U830/U831, U840, U841, U885. In Sindbis virus Nop60B modifies uridines in positions 9468, 9469, and 9470, within E2 gene.
