Comments:

MIS complex (Mum2, Ime4, and Slz1) mediates N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation on some mRNAs during meiosis and is required for sporulation, targeting 5'-[AG]GAC-3' consensus sites. Ime4 is the catalytic component of the MIS complex ( Agarwala et al. 2012) and catalyses the AdoMet-dependent N6-methylation of internal adenosine in yeast mRNA, including mRNA coding for Ime4 (regulatory role).
