The reported buffer was used to study the Cu<sup>2+</sup> insertion kinetics into MPIX. The authors report that T30695 was not obtained from via SELEX, but was identified by screening a small set of DNA sequences. The related publication (by Yang H. et al, 2020) reports newly discovered properties of T30695, such as the insertion of Zn<sub>2+</sub> in other porphyrins, and the utilization of Pb<sub>2+</sub> as a substrate. |
